West End Rotary club is sponsoring the 3rd Annual 5K Bear Run and Fun Walk on sunday May 23rd at 9 am at Pleasant Valley High School on rt 209 in Brodheadsville. The race will run a flat scenic course through the PV school grounds using a mixture of blacktop, sidewalk, and grass. In addition to the run, there will be a 3 mile or less fun walk.

Prizes will be awarded to the top two overall male and female runners and also to the top three male and female finishers in seven age brackets. Registration for the race, run or walk, will be $20 before May 15, $25 after May 15. Technical tee shirts will be given to first 200 registrants. There will also be random drawings for prizes by bib numbers.

Proceeds from the race will benefit American Cancer Society West End Relay for Life and other rotary projects. Registration forms are available at www.westendrotary.org.
